Mannai Auto, Qatar Golf Lovers host Cadillac Trophy

The tournament, which saw 80 golfers participating, was QGL’s 13th anniversary event and the 150th tournament since its inception in 2001.

Frederic Andre was the runner-up in flight A, while Andre Josiah finished second runner-up.

In flight B, which was played on a Stableford format, Jasjit Butalia was the first runner-up and Pavan Singh the 2nd runner-up. Tasnim Kazi won the ‘longest putt’, Pratyush Jain won the ‘closest to pin’, Valerie Dalton won the ‘longest drive’, Khalid Ansari won the ‘closest to rope’, Gus Kenny won the ‘closest to pole’ and Phil Redpath won ‘closest to pin on second shot’ prizes. Faisal Mir won the ‘best gross’ prize.

The tournament brought together Qatar’s biggest golf enthusiasts and Mannai Auto’s fleet customers.

Mannai Auto Group hosted the event to bring together some of its biggest stakeholders and partners. A gala dinner was held for the golfers and their guests later in the evening at the Doha Golf Club when Cadillac and Mannai Auto distributed prizes to the winners.

On the occasion, Mannai Auto group general manager Mohamed Helmy said: “We are honoured to be part of this celebration which showcases the golfing talent in our country as well as brings our various partners and patrons together to celebrate in an informal and fun setting. We congratulate both the Doha Golf Club and Qatar Golf Lovers for promoting this tournament and which was extremely entertaining.”

Present at the gala dinner were Operations GM Ivor D’Cunha, After Sales GM Luigi Rubinacci, Sales GM Mahmoud Sikhiri, Heavy Equipment GM Khalid Yousef, Service Operations GM Moshen Abdul Moshen and Fleet Sales manager Fadi Elaawar. Mannai Trading marketing manager Dina Wasfy addressed the gathering and expressed satisfaction over her company’s long time association with golf in general and Qatar Golf Lovers in particular.
