Ooredoo and Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company (QCFDC) have announced a new partnership agreement to enable cinema goers purchase tickets via the nationwide network of Ooredoo Self Service Machines (SSMs).The agreement marks the first time in Qatar that customers can purchase cinema tickets through an SSM. Ali I H al-Ishaq, CEO of QCFDC, said: “This is an incredible first for Qatar, offering customers flexibility and ease of access when they purchase cinema tickets, and ensuring that people can always enjoy the latest films at our state-of-the-art movie theatres.” Brian Speldewinde, assistant director, Indirect Channels, Ooredoo, said: “We’re pleased to announce this major new partnership, which brings even more gift and entertainment options to customers when they use our SSMs.”When customers use Ooredoo SSMs to buy cinema tickets, the ticket is printed as a redeemable gift voucher, which is then valid for three months from the purchase date, and will work in any of the selected Qatar Cinema movie theatres. QCFDC owns a range of movie theatres throughout Doha including Landmark Cinema, The Mall, and Royal Plaza. The company, which has been supplying Qatar with the latest film releases for more than 40 years, offers film fans the choice of over seven films per theatre, with a range of international, Bollywood and Arabic releases. Customers purchasing tickets from Ooredoo SSMs can benefit from the printed vouchers’ flexible terms and conditions, including movie timing choice and extended voucher life.Customers who miss their selected film viewing time with the voucher can wait for the next showing or reschedule for another day without repaying.
