The Pearl-Qatar hosted King Mswati III of Swaziland during his official visit to the country last week.

King Mswati III was received at The Pearl-Qatar along with his accompanying delegation, which included Swaziland’s Ambassador to Qatar Felzwe Dlamini and other senior officials and dignitaries.

A welcoming committee from United Development Company (UDC) - The Pearl-Qatar’s master developer - led by director of Operations Saeed al-Sulaiti received King Mswati III and his delegation at The Oyster, the Island’s sales and marketing centre, and accompanied him on a cruise tour around the project.

At the Oyster, King Mswati III was shown around the Island’s gigantic model and delivered a presentation that outlined the development phases of the project, the varied investment packages and subsequent benefits.

Taking the yacht around the Island’s precincts made it possible to show the delegation the various smart systems in use, exclusive facilities, construction progress and marketing potential.

Hearing about the position of The Pearl-Qatar as one of the largest mixed-use developments in Qatar and the Middle East and getting to see the scale of the project first hand, the King of Swaziland was impressed with the insight behind this massive urban development, combining the residential and retail aspects into a unique luxurious destination concept.

King Mswati III marked his admiration for the project with the following words in the guestbook available at The Oyster - “It’s a unique project. It is a stunning Island of prestigious venues.”
