Company offers free insurance on purchase of engine oil

Total is offering free personal accident insurance worth up to QR150,000 to drivers in Qatar on the purchase of its Quartz engine oil.

Total has tied up with leading international insurance provider AIG to roll out the new campaign.

Under the campaign which started on April 1 and ends on May 30, customers will receive 12 months of free cover on the spot on the purchase of Quartz engine oil.

A 4 litre container of Quartz 5000 will offer QR25,000 worth of protection and 4 litre packages of Quartz 7000, 9000 and 4x4 products come with QR50,000.

Customers can buy up to three policies each during the great-value promotion, providing up to QR150,000 of personal accident cover free of charge.

“Our Quartz lubricant range offers unbeatable protection for your vehicle’s engine, and with our latest campaign, drivers are safeguarding both themselves and their vehicle, without the inconvenience of paperwork and approvals,” said David Kalife, managing director of Total Marketing Middle Eastm.

“Our premium Total Quartz synthetic lubricants protect vehicle engines over longer distances, up to 15,000km compared with 5,000km for conventional mineral oils, and they maintain high performance in extreme conditions of heat and cold.”

Customers simply pick up a voucher with their purchase of Quartz engine oil, then SMS the code on the voucher to a secure phone number with their name, licence plate and contact details. The policy is activated within minutes, providing hassle-free personal accident cover round the clock in nearly all countries worldwide.
