Elderly woman Laxmi kumari Manandhar, aged 89, getting prepared by her daughters before celebrating Janku tradition in Kathmandu yesterday. Janku is a ritual performed by Newa people (indigenous people in Nepal) when a man or a woman turns between 77 and 89 years old as a celebration of long life. The relatives come to take blessings of oldies.
