Ooredoo is enhancing its portfolio of security solutions for customers as more businesses look to defend themselves against online threats.

The company has been in discussion with a number of the world’s leading security solution providers ahead of the upcoming ITU Telecom World, taking place in Doha in December this year, which will see companies bring the latest technologies to Qatar.

Last year saw a sharp increase in the number of attacks targeting companies and organisations in the region, with a number of high-profile entities seeing their websites compromised and systems breached.

In addition to working with solutions providers, Ooredoo is also set to highlight their latest Distributed Denial of Service Attack defences and Cloud Security services for businesses, designed to provide a higher level of support for companies.

Ooredoo’s Distributed Denial of Service Attack monitors, analyses and protects network operations through two major lines of defence - a centralised DDoS mitigation platform and an application-layer security service.

Ooredoo’s Cloud Security Solution offers features such as URL filtering & browser control, inline anti-virus & anti-spyware, email security, data leak prevention and full visibility reporting for business owners.

Currently, Ooredoo’s portfolio of security services provides protection for a host of platforms, including web, e-mail, mobile and newer channels of communication, aimed to tackle the online vulnerabilities for enterprises, government and SMEs.
