Qatar international food fest set to offer delectable fare

The four-day event is being organised for the second year in a row by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Qatar Airways.
Visitors can explore the Healthy & Active Zone, Snack Zone, Family Zone and Qatar Brazil Zone, where they may indulge in a number of delicious options including ice cream, pastries, salads, a relaxing cup of coffee or even take in a performance of traditional Brazilian dance.
The hugely popular Dinner in the Sky, is once again located next to the main stage, giving diners an opportunity to take in the fantastic aerial views of both the Doha skyline and the festival while dining 40 metres above the ground. Dinner in the Sky, sponsored by the Renaissance Hotel, consists of a three-course meal made up of an appetiser, main course and dessert.
Visitors can also enjoy a Dinner on a Dhow, sponsored by Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels, or the popular BBQ Donut, sponsored by the Diplomatic Club, both of which are located in the Water Zone.
Last year’s crowd pleaser, the Qatar Airways Cooking Theatre, located in the Live Cooking Zone, will be home to award-winning celebrity TV chef, Ramzi Choueiri, from Lebanon as he returns to perform cooking demonstrations for all the avid ‘foodies’ in Doha.
Chef Aysha al-Tamimi will demonstrate her skills in Qatari cuisine. This year will also see chefs preparing International, Italian and Brazilian cuisine.
QIFF is expected to draw a huge number of visitors over the four-day event.
A shuttle service will run between two dedicated parking lots and MIA Park. The first shuttle bus pick up will be located close to Al Bidda Park, with a second one located near Sharq Village and Spa.
Signage will be placed along both routes to help drivers identify and locate the parking lots. Organisers have strongly recommended use of the shuttle service to avoid being caught in traffic near MIA Park.
The shuttle service will run continually on the following days and times: Today: 5.30pm–11pm; tomorrow: 1.30pm–11pm; Saturday: noon to 10pm; and Sunday: 1.30pm–10pm.
