PM meets British minister

PM meets British minister

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday met with British Minister of State for Trade and Investment Ian Livingston and the delegation accompanying him, currently on a visit to Doha.  Talks reviewed co-operation between the two countries and ways to develop them. HE the Minister of Economy and Trade Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani also met  with the British minister. Promotion of economic and trade relations and investment between Qatar and UK were among the subjects discussed.

 

Message from Ruler of Dubai

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has received a written message from Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The message was handed to HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah as he met on Monday night with UAE’s charge d’affaires in Doha Ahmed Shuweireb. 

 

Meetings

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday met separately with South Korea’s Ambassador Chung jong-ki and Bangladeshi Ambassador Sayyed Massoud Mahmoud Khandoukar.  The meetings dealt with aspects of bilateral co-operation between Qatar and each of the two countries.

 

*HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Dr Abdullah bin Saleh al-Khulaifi yesterday met with Islamic (Dawaa) Call Organisation chairman Field Marshal Abdel Rahman Suwar al-Dahab. 

 

New envoys

HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah yesterday received copies of the credentials of Piroon Laismit as Thailand’s ambassador and of Krzysztof Suprowicz as Poland’s ambassador.
