Strategic workshop on Continuous Medical Education tomorrow
The Accreditation Department of the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners, Supreme Council of Health, is organising a two-day strategic workshop on “introducing a framework for CME/CPD in Qatar” in association with Partners Healthcare International, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. |
The workshop, which begins tomorrow, targets the top management and key decision-makers in the leading healthcare organisations and academic institutions in Qatar.
The event aims to provide orientation and training at a strategic level to the key stakeholders on the introduction of the Continuous Medical Education/Continuous Professional Development framework for practising healthcare professionals in Qatar. It will also focus on change management processes. The perspectives of the stakeholders were explored via the distribution of a survey prior to the workshop.
The workshop is in line with the National Health Strategy goals concerned with the Framework for CPD/CME programme accreditation. The CME/CPD mandatory participation policy will be implemented with effect from January 2016. A series of similar orientation workshops is planned for the orientation of all healthcare practitioners concerned with the new CME/CPD framework.
