Qatar hailed for nuns’ release

Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Bechara Boutros al-Rahi has commended Qatar’s mediation which resulted in releasing the Syrian city of Maaloula nuns. He extended his thanks and appreciation to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani for Qatar’s efforts in this regard. The Patriarch of Antioch and All the East made the comment when he met Qatar’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ali bin Hamad al-Merri. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest.
