Al-Balooshi looks to maintain lead

The second round of Qatar International Enduro organised by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation will take place today at Sealine.

The defendant champion of the E2 category, the Emirati rider Mohammed al-Balooshi, is leading the championship of his category with 50 points after the first round held in January.

“I started the season with a good lead winning both races in the opening round of the season and leading the championship, so I hope tomorrow will be another good day for me and I will do the necessary to keep the gap,” said Balooshi. Balooshi’s teammates, Saeed al-Shenqiti and Moath al-Ansari are second and third respectively in the E2 category standings, with 44 and 40 points.

In the E1 category, the Kuwaiti rider Mohammed Jaffar is leading his category with 50 points as he also won both races in the opening round.

The second position in the E1 is for Abdullah al-Shatti, who has 44 points. Tariq al-Hattab also from Kuwait is third with 38 points.

The activity will start at Sealine at 12:30 with the Free practice. Race 1 will start at 14:00 and Race 2 is scheduled at 15:30.

Also today, the second round of QMMF T3 Challenge will take place, where Khalid al-Mohannadi is leading the championship. The first official timed run is scheduled at 10:10 and the second run at 10:35.
