Positive response from Berlin event, says QTA

This year’s ITB Berlin Fair which ended here yesterday sent out very positive signals for the international travel industry.

Qatar entered the list of the ten best suites for the Near and Middle East countries, in addition to achieving positive responses from visitors to the Qatari pavilion which will attract more tourists to the country.

Rashid al-Gareisi, the director of marketing and promotion at Qatar Tourism authority (QTA) said that this year’s edition of the ITB Berlin was very positive for the QTA which had the largest Qatari delegation in the show’s history.

He said the results of the participation in the exhibition was not only timely, but also that there it would be positive especially with the QTA’s intention to open a representative office in Germany this year.

He said Qatar Tourism Authority adopted new strategies for tourism days before the start of the Berlin event.

The show would lead to partnerships with several tourist destinations which will contribute to the enrichment of tourism industry and raising the number of tourists to Qatar, in addition to the start of good steps in the way for striking several agreements in the future that will benefit the country, al-Gareisi added.
