Qatari envoy meets Indian official
Consul General of Qatar in Mumbai Hamad bin Mohamed al-Dosari with the governor of the Indian state of Karnataka, H R Bhardwaj, in Bangalore yesterday. They reviewed bilateral relations and ways of developing and strengthening them. The Qatari ambassador praised the relations between India and Qatar.
Qatar-South Korea ties reviewed
South Korean President Park Geun Hye has received the credentials of Qatar’s ambassador Mohamed Abdullah al-Duhaimi during a meeting at the presidential palace in Seoul. The Qatari ambassador conveyed to the South Korean president the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. The South Korean president reciprocated the Emir greetings. Talks also covered relations between the two countries and ways of developing them.
National Day greetings sent
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to the Bulgarian president on his country’s National Day.
Qatar-Algeria ties discussed
HE the Attorney General Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri met Algerian Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Tayeb Louh in Algiers yesterday.
Discussions during the meeting dealt with co-operation between the two countries in the judicial sector.
Both sides agreed on the continuation of communication between the Attorney General’s office and the Algerian Minister of Justice in order to consolidate this co-operation. The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to Algeria Ibrahim al-Sahlawi and the delegation accompanying the Attorney General.
Advisory Council holds meeting
The Advisory Council yesterday held its weekly meeting at the White Palace premises under the chairmanship of the Council’s Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
It discussed a draft law issuing arbitration act in the civil and commercial items and decided to refer it to the Legal and Legislative Affairs committee.
Later the Advisory Council’s Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee studied the draft law for the issue of the arbitration act in civil and commercial items.
