Qatar Airways was named Best Developing Airline (full-service carrier) at the seventh Annual Aviation Event hosted by Hungary’s Budapest Airport (BUD) recently. The ceremony was conducted by BUD in recognition of airlines and other key business partners that made the most significant contribution to the continued enhancement of its aviation development in 2013. Over 150 business partners, including airlines, ground handlers, tour operators, border control and other agencies and enterprises, attended the event. Qatar Airways had won the award last year as well. Speaking on the achievement, Grisha Jenkov, Qatar Airways country manager (Central Eastern Europe), said: “We are delighted to win this award and would like to thank all our loyal passengers and also the Budapest Airport management and friendly staff for their continued support.” Pictured are officials at the ceremony.
