QFBA launches 2014 course calendar
The Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) has launched its 2014 course calendar that includes banking, insurance, finance, Islamic finance, capital markets and asset management, compliance and anti-money laundering, business management, as well as training for soft and foundation skills. QFBA CEO Dr Abdulaziz al-Horr said: “The year 2014 is crucial for QFBA’s development and will see the implementation of a series of intelligently designed courses, as well as advanced registration and deployment techniques to help make the process much easier for participants.” The QFBA is a certified training provider that is recognised by local authorities. It issues many specialised international certificates in partnership with recognised partners. Dr al-Horr said: “The broader focus, in addition to the scheduled calendar, is to help organisations, including financial services providers in Qatar and businesses of all sizes, identify their organisational training requirements and tailor solutions for their staff.”He said the QFBA’s experienced training staff are already working with many large organisations.“We believe in delivering quality education, so every course is tailored to have a relatively small educator to trainee ratio, which allows for more interactive classes and gives every registrant a better learning experience,” he said. The QFBA has over 1000sqm space designed to accommodate simultaneous courses in different classrooms. The nine classrooms can accommodate up to 100 participants. The facility which is situated in QFC Tower 2 is one of the most advanced of its kind in Qatar and is supported by specialised staff with international training experience. In addition, course durations are tailored to meet professional schedules that vary from three days to 10 days, plus more intensive courses such as CPA, CFA and CMA certification, which can be delivered in around 35 days. The QFBA was established to fulfil the need for a specialised training provider capable of helping Qatari institutions grow their potential and embrace modern finance and business principles as they grow and contribute towards helping Qatar become a truly sustainable market economy driven by knowledge-based solutions and global best practices.
