35 complete Commercial Bank’s Youth Leadership Acceleration Programme

Commercial Bank has announced that 35 Qatari nationals aged 16-20 years have completed the second Youth Leadership Acceleration Programme, which was held under the patronage of Qatar Central Bank.The programme is a partnership between Commercial Bank and HEC Paris in Qatar to develop the leadership skills of young Qataris with high potential. Over the course of the three-day programme, talented young nationals from the best educational institutions in Qatar participated in a variety of workshops designed to build key leadership skills. Topics on the agenda included leadership styles, goal setting, communication and driving change in the context of Qatar National Vision 2030. A notable feature was the return of students from last year’s event to coach the current intake, reflecting an already successful legacy of the programme. The programme was conducted by senior HEC Paris faculty members Lily Kelly-Radford (PhD) and Luke Novelli (PhD), culminating in a certification ceremony led by Qatar Central Bank, Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh al-Raisi and HEC Paris in Qatar CEO and academic dean Professor Laoucine Kerbache.Speaking at the ceremony, al-Raisi said: “Commercial Bank is particularly committed to developing human capital in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. Over the last two years, the bank has invested heavily in Qatari nationals to support the acceleration of their careers and prepare them to be leaders in the bank in future. Our active role in the Youth Leadership Acceleration Programme demonstrates our ambition to support the leaders of tomorrow, both within and outside Commercial Bank. After meeting and working with the students today, I feel confident and proud that the future of our nation is in safe hands.”Professor Kerbache said, “I would like to thank our partner Commercial Bank, our two professors, the team from HEC Paris and the students themselves for a productive and successful week. I am convinced that these students will build on their new skills to become true leaders and high-profile contributors to Qatar National Vision 2030.”
