Qatar is fastest-growing market for Rolls-Royce in Mideast
Qatar has been announced as the fastest-growing market for Rolls-Royce sales in the Middle East last year. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha, the sole distributor of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Qatar, has announced a 37% growth in its sales in 2013, building on stellar performances in each of the past three years to highlight the increasing strength of the ultra-luxury car market in the country. The impressive sales results come as a natural progression for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha, which consistently ranks among the top five regional markets in terms of sales. The dealership’s focus on customer satisfaction and carefully chosen Bespoke specifications runs in line with Rolls-Royce’s pursuit of excellence and quality through every aspect of the brand. The Rolls-Royce Bespoke Programme is a programme that allows Rolls-Royce customers to specify the features of their car, creating their own unique models.“Rolls-Royce is respected and renowned for offering the ultimate in luxury, comfort and innovative design, making the brand a benchmark for the whole luxury industry,” said Mohamed Kandeel, general manager at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha. “However, our success here in Qatar is not only measured by growth in sales, but also the ability to offer our customers a one-of-a-kind ownership experience.”Contributing to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha’s solid performance was the recently-launched Rolls-Royce Wraith, the most powerful and dynamic Rolls-Royce in history. At its heart lie hallmark Rolls-Royce attributes of luxury, refinement and hand-craftsmanship, but the latest model from the world’s pinnacle super-luxury marque also presents a unique character defined by power, style, drama and a hint of noir. Also contributing to the stellar performance was a marked growth in sales of Phantom Series II, Rolls-Royce’s flagship model, which has been thoughtfully updated with contemporary yet timeless design enhancements. Cutting-edge technologies significantly improve the car’s drive experience, ease-of-use and connectivity. The Phantom Series II family — including Phantom Saloon, Phantom Extended Wheelbase, Phantom Drophead Coupé and Phantom Coupé — continue to be a strong driving force behind the company’s sales achievements.“The Phantom has been created with the desire to build the best car in the world, and such it is a vehicle designed without compromise — the result of complete creative and engineering freedom”, said Mohamed Kandeel. “When you combine this compelling charisma with the ability to customise it through our Bespoke programme, you have the ultimate in automotive excellence, a modern interpretation of the luxury motor car, which is the choice of transport for Qatar’s elite.” On a regional level, a 17% year-on-year growth was recorded in the Middle East markets, making it the best performing region for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars worldwide in terms of growth for the second consecutive year. Globally, 3,630 cars were sold during the year, which represents the best sales result in the company’s history.“2013 has been an exceptional year”, said Geoff Briscoe, regional director, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East, Africa and Latin America. “I am thrilled that Rolls-Royce Middle East has again performed well and delivered another standout year. With our exceptionally dedicated dealer network, we can be confident that our discerning customers, whose tastes and exacting requirements are met by our designers and craftsmen, get an equally pinnacle experience delivered by all of our individual local partners.” He added: “Rolls-Royce has confirmed its position as undisputed leader in the super-luxury segment. No one sells more cars above the $250,000 mark in the region.”
