New book showcases research programmes in TAMUQ

Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) has partnered with QScience to publish  Excellence Wand Impact of Research. The book showcases the University’s “research endeavours and successes in creating new knowledge for the State of Qatar and industry.” “Texas A&M at Qatar’s dynamic research programme is a hub for innovation and produces impactful outcomes that are critical to Qatar’s goal of becoming a knowledge-based economy,” dean and CEO Dr Mark H Weichold said. Over the past decade, TAMUQ has developed a robust research programme that spans engineering, pure sciences and liberal arts, he explained. The university’s faculty and their research groups are dedicated to discovering and creating new knowledge and devising solutions for challenges encountered by Qatar’s industrial and commercial sectors. “With the support of local partners and worldwide collaborations, Texas A&M at Qatar is helping to raise Qatar’s profile in the global scientific community by participating in scholarly discourse that amplifies understanding and inspires innovation,” Dr Weichold pointed out. The book includes technical papers that reflect the significance of the university’s research expertise and how it is leveraged to support Qatar’s growth and development through fulfilling main pillars of TAMUQ’s mission such as generating new knowledge by conducting research and disseminating results and serving the needs of the State of Qatar and the region through broad expertise.
