HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Maj Gen Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah met in Doha yesterday with Nikolay Evtimov Mladenov, the United Nations Secretary General’s Representative to Iraq and former Bulgarian foreign minister (above). Talks dealt with matters of interest to the two countries. The meeting was attended by HE Qatar Armed Forces Chief of Staff Air Vice Marshal Ghanim bin Shahin al-Ghanim, Charge d’Affaires at the Bulgarian embassy in Doha and a number of senior armed forces officers. HE al-Attiyah also met the commander of combat wing of the Hellenic Air Force. During the meeting, they discussed issues of joint interest, especially in military affairs. The meeting was attended by Greek Ambassador Ioannis Metaxas and a number of senior officers of the armed forces.
