A ceremony will be held at the Indian embassy (behind Gulf Times, No 19, Street No 828, Wadi Al Neel, Al Hilal Area, Doha) tomorrow to celebrate India’s 65th Republic Day. The event is scheduled to start at 8.30am. Indian ambassador Sanjiv Arora will hoist the national flag. He will read out the message of the Indian president to his compatriots. Indian school students in Qatar will render patriotic songs and perform cultural items. The envoy yesterday invited all Indian nationals to attend the ceremony. Meanwhile, Qatar’s ambassador to New Delhi, Ahmed Ibrahim al-Abdullah, during a meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee, has conveyed to him greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and wishes of progress and development to the Indian people.
