QPI chief al-Jaidah receives ‘IPTC distinguished service award’
Al-Jaidah being honoured with a special “IPTC Distinguished Service Award” yesterday. He is one of the founders of IPTC.Qatar Petroleum International CEO Nasser al-Jaidah was honoured with a special “IPTC Distinguished Service Award” yesterday.Al-Jaidah is one of the founders of IPTC. The award recognises dedicated members who have distinguished themselves in a singular and beneficial long-term service to IPTC. Al-Jaidah’s support was critical to the organisation of the inaugural IPTC session in Doha in 2005. Over the years, his commitment has been decisive in establishing IPTC as a prestigious upstream event across the globe.Al-Jaidah held the position of executive co-chair at PTC 2005 and IPTC 2009. In addition, he served as an honourable adviser in all seven IPTC events since the inception of IPTC. His personal contribution has been instrumental to the success of the event and establishing IPTC as the largest multi-society and multi-disciplinary conference in the Eastern hemisphere. With his leadership and strategic vision, he had become a true ambassador for the IPTC concept and helped to gain unconditional support from the global oil and gas industry, ministries and governmental officials, NOCs, IOCs and other stakeholders.
