Teyseer Motors,  official distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Qatar, launched the 2014 Suzuki Swift hatchback at a programme held at the showroom on Airport Road yesterday.

The car was unveiled by the Indian Ambassador Sanjiv Arora along with Adel Mannai, president of Teyseer Motors, in the presence of  Medhat Greiss, general manager of Teyseer Motors and  Koichi Suzuki,  general manager of Middle East & Africa Automobile Marketing Group of Suzuki Motor Corporation. Other senior officials of Teyseer Motors were also present.

Speaking to the media, Mannai said Suzuki  has an annual growth rate of  15- 20%.

He said: “There will be two more launches of Suzuki this year. One in the middle of this year and another  towards the end of the year. The new Swift is more eye-catching, more spacious, more refined, more user-friendly and a whole lot more enjoyable to drive than anything else in the compact-car category. At the same time, it continues to embody the distinctive and globally renowned Swift design.”

The new Swift is priced at  QR48,000 for the automatic version. As an introductory offer, Teyseer is also offering free comprehensive insurance for the first year, free full maintenance including spare parts and labour for up to 20,000km and free registration.

The car comes with a three-year or 100,000km warranty and a trade-in facility.

“The new Swift is propelled by a 1.2-litre engine which sets a new benchmark in performance. The advanced K-series engine powered by VVT ensures enhanced fuel efficiency and delivers best-in-class performance. It stands apart from its peers with The Swift High 5s – Dynamic Styling, Premium Interiors, Supreme Comfort, Thrilling Performance and Advanced Safety,” said  Greiss.

Greiss  said  the company has a very efficient after-sales service. He continued that the company will be opening more service centres to facilitate quicker services for the customers.

Koichi Suzuki said that the new Swift will strengthen Suzuki’s presence in the Qatari market with its great value.
