Training workshop for Airport Security officials

A 12-day training workshop for Airport Security officials, organised by the Airport Security Department and Police Training Institute in collaboration with the French National Gendarmerie, concluded recently. Fifteen officials from Airport Security and Qatar Armed Forces took part in the workshop.The convocation ceremony was attended by the director of Airport Security Department, Brig Essa Arar al-Romaihi; assistant director of Police Training Institute Major Abdul Aziz al-Mohannadi; and military attaché of the French embassy in Qatar. Brig al-Arar said the workshop was mainly aimed at stressing the security measures needed to secure civil aviation while disasters happen and provide employees with the knowledge and skills required for the security of airports and aviations to ensure the highest levels in terms of securing passengers at Doha International Airport and prepare for the new Hamad International Airport. The participants were awarded certificates at the end of the session.
