QC launches Tunisia Support programme

A visiting delegation of Qatar Charity (QC) to Tunisia has launched the first phase of the Support programme estimated to cost QR55mn.Yusuf Ahmed al-Kuwari, chief executive officer, QC, said the programme is set to give direct benefits to 125,000 persons, adding the projects aim at establishing the already strong fraternal relationships between the Qatari and Tunisian peoples. According to al-Kuwari, the Support programme would help enhancing the lives of people and help them to improve their living conditions. The projects include opening of five primary schools, 10 primary heath centres, 100 drinking water wells, agricultural projects and housing for the poor and needy. Tunisian Minister of Farming Mohamed Salim said that the Tunisian people would be always thankful for the support of Qatar.
