Qatar Open Amateur Championship begins

The 28th edition of the Qatar Open Amateur Championship kicked off at the Doha Golf Club yesterday. The tournament, an annual fixture on the Qatar Golf Association calendar, will finish tomorrow. In total nine Qatari players are in action, with 120 golfers competing in the three-day 54-hole stroke play event. The top two Qatari players of the tournament will get a chance to play in the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters 2013, along with the winner of the event. PICTURES: Jayaram
