Experts, academia attend engineering forum

Nearly 300 people attended the 10th annual Engineering Forum jointly hosted by Qatargas and RasGas recently in Doha. The event, which brought together engineering experts from oil and gas companies, academia and the private sector, was an important opportunity to share technical expertise, discuss latest developments and highlight best practice activities under way in Qatar. Dean King, engineering manager, Qatargas, welcomed the gathering. In his keynote address, Ahmad al-Mohannadi, operations technical manager, RasGas, observed that the forum has become an important venue for industry professionals to exchange ideas on the LNG industry in Qatar. The event was split into three sessions – operational excellence, sustainability and LNG supporting activities. The presentations covered a wide range of topics in each of these areas. Presentations were also made by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Shell.
