ACC Level 1 umpiring course held

India’s ex-international umpire and ACC Umpiring Resource Person Bomi Ardeshir Jamola successfully conducted the ACC Level 1 Umpiring Course for the local participants. The Qatar Cricket Association, headed by MA Shahid, organised the course from September 27 to October 4 to help ACC 0 Level candidates improve their umpiring knowledge and skills under the 60-year-old ACC official.

After the course, the 26 candidates, including four females, appeared at the ACC Level 1 umpiring examination, according to QCA General Secretary Manzoor Ahmad. The names of the successful candidates will be declared on November 13, he added. Jamula, who officiated in five One-Day International matches between 1990 and 1999, joined the Asian Cricket Council in 2010. He has conducted many coaching clinics in the region and educated a large number of aspirants.
