Public relations firm wins nine international awards

ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller, a leading public relations consultancy in the region, has won nine awards at the International Business Awards 2013, including the Gold Stevie for Public Relations Agency of the Year in the Middle East and Africa for the third year.

The agency - part of the WPP Group - was awarded a record two Gold, four Silver and three Bronze Stevies for PR campaigns for its clients.

With entrants from over 50 countries, the International Business Awards – or Stevies – are the world’s leading business awards and a benchmark for the industry. The awards, which were presented at a gala dinner in Barcelona, Spain, were selected by a judging panel of more than 250 leading business executives.

“The record-breaking success of ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller at the International Business Awards is a true testament to the thought leadership of the agency in executing compelling and result-oriented communications campaigns,” said Joseph Ghossoub, chairman and CEO of Menacom Group, the regional parent company of ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller.

The other awards won by ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller include the Gold Stevie for PR Campaign of the Year – Events & Observances, Silver Stevies for PR Campaign of the Year – Marketing/Consumer Services, PR Campaign of the Year – Community Relations, PR Campaign of the Year – Events & Observances and PR Campaign of the Year – Public Service, as well as Bronze Stevies for PR Campaign of the Year – Public Affairs, PR Campaign of the Year – Public Service and PR Campaign of the Year – Issues Management.

The campaigns and projects for which ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller has won the Stevies include Arab Youth Survey 2013, in addition to several initiatives carried out in the UAE. The agency won a Silver Stevie for the survey, which presents insights into the attitudes of Arab youth.
