Traffic diversions at Onaiza roundabout
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced temporary traffic diversions on Al-Markhya and Onaiza Streets from tomorrow until November 15 for converting the Onaiza roundabout to a signalised intersection, and opening Lejbailat
intersection for traffic.
This will divert traffic from Onaiza and Markhya Streets to Onaiza roundabout to the local roads highlighted in green on the attached map.
Ashghal said that commuters coming from Lejbailat intersection and heading to Onaiza roundabout can use the alternative routes, cited on the road signs, that lead to Al Mishreb Street and then to Mishref Street.
The road users coming from Lekhweir (Barzan) intersection and heading towards Onaiza roundabout can follow a number of diversions that lead to Onaiza Street.
The road users coming from the Civil Defence roundabout and heading towards Onaiza roundabout, can follow a number of diversions that lead to Lekhweir (Barzan) intersection or to Lejbailat intersection depending on their destination.
Similarly, road users coming from Omar Al Mukhtar Street and heading towards Onaiza roundabout through Onaiza Street can follow a number of diversions that lead to the Lekhweir (Barzan) intersection or to the Lejbailat intersection depending on their destination.
Streets have been equipped with traffic signs at all diversions to ensure correct guidance to all road users. Ashghal has also requested all road users to abide by the safety instructions and traffic rules for their own safety and safety of others.
