Qatalum launches Aluminium Review at Arabal

Qatalum is participating in the 17th session of the Arab International Aluminium Conference and Exhibition (Arabal), which is being held in Abu Dhabi.The participation in what is considered the most important trade event for the aluminium industry in the Middle East has come through a high-level delegation comprising Qatalum CEO Tom Petter Johansen, deputy CEO Khalid Mohamed Laram, a number of directors, various heads of departments and specialists in the company. Qatalum also participated in the Arabal exhibition held on the sidelines of the conference, at a forum through which attendees were informed about the most important developments in the current year and earlier.On the first day of the conference (November 5), Qatalum launched its specialised electronic newsletter bulletin, Aluminium Review, which includes latest news and reports within the aluminium industry at the regional and global levels. The bulletin will be sent daily free of cost via email to all participants of the conference, professionals and those interested in the aluminium industry.“This participation is a continuation of our regular participation in the Arabal conference since the founding of the company, believing in the need for an effective presence in such international forums,” said Johansen. “We are proud to launch the specialised Aluminium Review bulletin, which emphasises our great support for the sector and contribution to promoting the reporting of information, ideas and experience.”“Our participation in Arabal 2013 stems from being one of the major aluminium smelters in the Gulf and the Middle East and we seek to strengthen this presence constantly through constructive communication with our partners and friends in this growing sector,” said Laram.The conference ends today.
