International Bank of Qatar (ibq) yesterday announced the second winner of the monthly prize draw within the bank’s loyalty programme, thanq. Eric Mahe, the winner, walked away with 100,000 thanq reward points.All ibq credit and debit cardholders who have used their cards during the past month and registered online for the thanq rewards programme automatically enter into a monthly lucky draw.Andrew Ball, head of Retail Banking, said: “We are delighted to reward the second winner of our thanq programme lucky draw and are happy to see an increasing number of our customers getting interested and registering in our exciting thanq programme. Our monthly lucky draw is just an additional way of thanking our customers and letting them know that they are deeply appreciated.”Mahe said: “At first I couldn’t believe it! It is exciting to receive this award from ibq, which I will redeem against a ticket to France to go and spend the festive holidays with my family in December.”The thanq rewards programme offers ibq customers the opportunity to accumulate points by using their ibq credit and debit cards, maintaining a monthly current account balance, referring a friend to the bank and by taking loans and other ibq products and services. thanq points can be redeemed with over 800 airlines and 160,000 hotels, car rental services worldwide with no restrictions or blackout dates. thanq is complementary to any airline or hotel rewards programme the customer may be already a member of. Members may also transfer or use their points to book a trip for a friend or a family member.
