New mall ‘will provide world-class amenities’

This is the first project of the Dubai-based Regency Group in Qatar.Addressing a press conference held at the hypermarket yesterday, Mana Ibrahim al- Mana, chairman of Qatar Property Management, Century 21 said Grand Mall is a prominent tenant of the West End Park that will cater to various segments of the community in Qatar. Grand Mall Hypermarket lies at the heart of the West End Park project.Anver Ameen Chelat, managing director, Regency Group & Grand Mall Qatar said: “Quality products at competitive prices is our slogan which will benefit all our customers. Built on an area of 10,000sqm, Grand Mall provides unique shopping experience with world class amenities.” He said a major highlight of Grand Mall is its own hypermarket.  Spread over 8,000sq m and consisting of a world class supermarket on the ground floor and a department store on the first floor, the mall provides all the leading brands of consumer goods, clothing, fashion accessories, hand bags, footwear, leather products, luggage, furniture, electrical and electronic appliances, home appliances and more.“Customers will find the city’s finest fashion, global brands, bookshops, Arab dress specialty stores, sports goods, essentially ‘Pin to Piano,’ under one roof,” Ashraf Cherakkal , regional director of Regency Group, said. The exclusive bakery and hot food section of the hypermarket is another feature of the mall. A food court, with a seating capacity of over 200, will serve global delicacies at moderate price. Another attraction is the gold market offering customers with gold, silver and diamond jewelleries, watches, crystals, pearls and more. The complex offers parking for more than 3,000 cars and 200 buses. A cultural show will be held today evening ahead of the inaugural ceremony. Regency Group has been successfully running different ventures with 32 retail outlets across GCC and India for over 23 years and plans to add more in the near future. In Qatar, the group will open three more stores soon. The group has employed more than 400 staff in Qatar in the initial stage.
