Traffic diversions on Dukhan Highway

The Public Works Authority Ashghal yesterday announced two minor changes to the traffic diversions on Dukhan Highway between the existing interchanges at Al Wajba and Al Shahaniya. The changes to be implemented from tomorrow (Wednesday, 2 October) covers the re-alignment of the Dukhan bound traffic for about 1km immediately west of Al Wajba interchange. The new diversion will last for 12 months to allow construction works as part of the Ashghal plan to improve the Dukhan highway between Al Rayyan Stadium Roundabout and Shahaniya Interchange.Ashghal has appealed to all road users to abide by the speed limit of 80km along this diversion and to obey the traffic instructions and signboards in order to ensure safety. Speed cameras will be in operation over this section of traffic diversion.The works are part of Ashghal’s Expressway Programme delivering a national roads network capable of sustaining the future growth and development of Qatar.
