Minister to attend maritime conference

HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Staff Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah will attend the inauguration ceremony of Qatar Maritime Security - Coastal & Border Surveillance Conference (QMARSEC), it was announced yesterday.Qatar National Security Shield (NSS) and Defence Services Marketing Council (DSMC) said that the conference will be held in Doha during October 7-8 adopting the theme “achieving maritime and coastal security through a joint concept of operation”.Staff Brigadier (Pilot) Mohamed Abdulatif al-Mannai, director of the Qatar NSS, affirmed that QMARSEC has got the official support of Qatar Armed Forces (QAF). In the meantime, Matthew Cochran, chairman of DSMC, said that QMARSEC has become a key event for all those working in the field of defense and security.
