African festival at Sealine Resort

Sealine Beach Resort has launched the fourth edition of its annual African festival – a traditional event that celebrates and offers guests the rich heritage of the African continent in Qatar. Being held under the slogan: “It’s time for Africa”, the event to be held until September 27, is showcasing the rich African cultural legacy, underlined by the dynamism and diversity of the African continent and the warmth of the African people and their passion for arts, crafts and more.A variety of African entertainment and cultural performances, scheduled to be held every Friday during September, range from cultural dance shows, traditional games, acrobatic stunts or masquerades to an extravagant fashion show showcasing traditional and contemporary African designs from the different regions of Africa. The festival will conclude with a celebratory event with popular DJ Jimmy Jatt from Lagos, Nigeria. “Sealine Beach Resort is a unique property in Qatar. While offering quality entertainment to our guests, we also provide a platform for ethnic groups to showcase their cultural heritage,” said general manager Abdul Shukoor said.
