Eruption in Sumatra

Mount Sinabung spews hot gas and ashes during an eruption in Karo, North Sumatra province, Indonesia yesterday. Thousands of people fled their homes after Mount Sinabung volcano erupted on Indonesia’s Sumatra island a disaster management official said. The volcano in North Sumatra spewed ash and rocks early on Sunday prompting the authorities to raise the alert level to the second highest a spokesman for the National Disaster Management Agency said.
