The Sri Lankan School Doha’s (SLSD) Theatre Circle is to stage a play called the Sophie’s Story - an adaptation of the popular Mamma Mia, the musical, on September 13 at the Qatar National Convention Centre from 7pm-9pm.Earlier, the Theatre Circle, comprising the SLSD students, had tested out their skills in a debut production by staging an adaptation of the fairytale ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in June 2010 at the Gulf Cinema. The school’s drama club feels that the play - the ‘Sophie’s Story’- will become a platform for newcomers in the cast and also an event that will highlight multi-talented students in the school.Tickets for the performance are available at SLSD and all Sri Lankan outlets.
