DPA/Rome Brazil international Kaka said on his presentation at AC Milan yesterday that he feels confident he can help the Devils vie for the Italian and continental titles. The Serie A club presented Kaka at their Milanello headquarters after agreeing on a free transfer with Real Madrid on Sunday. The 31-year-old starts a secons stint at the Rossoneri, having already played with them between 2003 and 2009. “It was very good to return,” Kaka said. “Seeing again the people at Milanello made me feel as I had never left.” Kaka has signed until June 2015 on a contract of 4 million euros (5.27 million dollars) per season. He earned 10 million euros while at Real. “Milan can win in Italy and do well in Europe,” the club’s website quoted Kaka as saying. “There are winning players, used to being under pressure. I think we have a Milan that will fight for the title.” The offensive midfielder first arrived at Milan Brazil club Sao Paulo. During his first term he lifted the Serie A title in 2004 and the Champions League in 2007, when he won the Ballon d’Or and the FIFA World Player awards. “It is a different situation (from 2003). Now I have a role as leader,” he said. “I hope to live this experience for two or more seasons. I want to help these boys and also learn a lot from them.” The offensive midfielder, whose full name is Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, said he could never play with continuity at Real because of injuries and tactical choices. “I trained regularly. My form is good and I have had no injuries in a long time. Being here is a challenge and it gives me motivation,” he said. Club vice president Adriano Galliani recalled Kaka’s 270 games and 95 goals in his six seasons at Milan. “It is a wonderful story that has never ended,” Galliani said. “We tried to have him back for the past three years. His return has brought joy to many Milan fans. It was never Kaka who wanted to leave. It was Milan who had to sell him (in 2009 at 67 million euros) on heavy pressure from Real.” Galliani denied rumours that the international could move to US club Los Angeles Galaxy in the January transfer market, or that he could be traded for Keisuke Honda of CSKA Moscow.
