Jose Nettikadan, a former employee of the Life Insurance Corporation of India, died in Ernakulam, Kerala, yesterday after a brief hospitalisation due to age-related illness. He was 82.
A native of Ernakulam, Nettikadan is survived by his sons Miju, Mibu and daughter Mini George. His wife, Lilly, died in 2010.
Doha-based Mibu is the general secretary of Engineers Forum-Qatar. Nettikadan was a very active member in social and church-based charity events.
Funeral prayers will be held at the Nettikadan residence in Ernakulam, headed by Auxiliary Bishop Sebastian Adayanthrath at 3pm today. Burial prayers will be headed by Curio Bishop Mar Bosco Puthur at St Mary Queen Church, Edapally, Thoppil (Pipeline Road), Ernakulam.
