Q-Post, Philippine embassy sign deal on passport delivery

Qatar General Postal Corporation (Q-Post) and the Philippine embassy have signed an agreement which will further expedite the delivery of passports to Filipino expatriates in the country.Q-Post president Abdul Rahman Al-Oqaili met with Philippine ambassador to Qatar Crescente Relacion recently to talk about the partnership and mutual co-operation between the two parties.Under the agreement, Q-Post will be responsible for completing the procedure of delivering passports to Filipinos in Qatar within the E-government services. Al-Oqaili said the collaboration with the Philippine embassy is expected to benefit both groups and thousands of OFWs.“To facilitate this, Q-Post is very keen and will take every care to provide the finest and the best possible services to the embassy,” he said.Al-Oqaili has toured Relacion and his group to different sections in Q-Post. They were also briefed about the different postal services like QPP, E-government and EMS.“This will help passport holders to take advantage of extended working hours of Q-Post and delivery will be done at their address,” stressed al-Oqaili.He also added that they want to expand the scope of co-operation with the embassy. This will include the processing of issuing visas which he believes would result in significant additional value for both parties.
