QMA organises its annual Ghabga dinner

Under the patronage of HE Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad al-Thani, Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) hosted its special annual Ramadan Ghabga dinner at the Museum of Islamic Art in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan. This event is organised by QMA every year. It aims to celebrate Ramadan traditions and strengthen relations among employees belonging to different departments within QMA.The gathering was attended by QMA CEO Mansoor al-Khater, in addition to a number of top management and QMA staff. Al Khater opened the ceremony. He thanked Qatar Airways for sponsoring this year’s Ghabga dinner.Al Khater made a presentation on QMA’s achievements and future plans while encouraging employees to be creative, innovative and open to new ideas, and assist in implementing QMA’s vision and mission. A raffle was held and a number of attendees received valuable gifts.The Ghabga is considered a tradition of the holy month of Ramadan in Gulf countries where people started celebrating it at the beginning of the 20th century. The Ghabga takes the form of a dinner between Iftar and Sohour.
