The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is reaching out to disadvantaged children and less fortunate families during Ramadan.
As part of ‘Give Back Getaways’ initiative, the hotel has teamed up with furniture retailer The One, to sponsor the renovation of the house of a family.
The initiative involves providing in-kind donations and volunteer help and encourages guests to join the staff of the hotel to make a lasting contribution to the local community.
Starting from August 5, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha will be seeking volunteers for activities including flooring, carpeting, painting, repairing as well as delivering brand-new furniture and other fittings.
In addition, while their house is undergoing the renovation, the hotel will be hosting the family.
In addition to creating a sustainable path for the local communities, the welfare of children is also a focus for the hotel during Ramadan.
The Ramadan tent in Al Wosail grand ballroom has served as the Iftar venue for a group of children and adults from Dhreima orphanage on Tuesday.
As a continuation of its partnership with Qatar Red Crescent for the second consecutive year, the hotel has pledged to prepare and donate some 150 Iftar meal boxes daily to the organisation for people in need.
As part of the activity, the hotel staffers will be visiting public labour camps to deliver Iftar meals to their premises every day.
