National Security Chief of Tripoli Colonel Mahmoud Sharif speaks as police officers gathered yesterday in Tripoli’s Martyrs Square calling for the formation of a national army and police in order to control militias. Libyan authorities have struggled to bring militias under control and re-establish law and order following the Nato-backed ouster of former leader Muammar Gaddafi.
