Media has always contributed to strengthening cultural relations between different countries across the world, says senior Qatari government official Moosa Zainul Moosa.Moosa, currently a senior adviser in the ministry of culture, art and heritage, said this while launching a souvenir to commemorate the first anniversary celebrations of Malayalam language daily Middle East Chandrika at the Indian Cultural Center (ICC) recently.The cultural adviser recalled that Arabic and Malayalam languages have shared cultural relations for several centuries now and the publication of any language newspaper is certain to contribute further towards building cultural understanding .To mark the launch of the 276-page souvenir, top Arab female athlete and ace rally driver Nada al-Zeydan handed over a copy to the Doha Stadium Plus editor Ravi Kumar. She recalled the support that had she received from the Indian expatriates in her official responsibilities and sport career.Indian embassy charge de affairs M R Qureshi, second secretary Anil Nautiyal, Indian Union Muslim League Kerala unit general secretary K P A Majeed and Qatar Kerala Muslim Cultural Center president P S H Thangal attended the function that had ME Chandrika Qatar governing body chairman Abdulla Parakkal in the chair. ME Chandrika director Abdul Nassar Nachi proposed a vote of thanks.
