Spurred on by a 58% increase in the sales of Honda automobiles in Qatar during the first half of 2013 over that of 2012 and a 1.5% growth in market share, Doha Marketing Services Company (Domasco) has opened a second showroom for the Japanese auto major. |
The new outlet on Salwa Road, opposite the HSBC Bank branch and near the former Qatar Decoration roundabout, is a temporary facility that will cater to customers until a most modern showroom gets ready on the same stretch in the future. “We have big plans for Honda in Qatar and this is the first step,” said Grieg Roffey, head of sales and marketing, Honda.
“There will also be a new service facility in the south of Qatar very soon, and we have already identified additional sales and after-sales locations for the coming years,” he explained.
The new showroom, “centrally located in Doha’s automobile shopping area is easily reachable” from any part of Doha and complements the main showroom in Al Markhiya between the State Mosque and TV roundabouts. Honda cars are also available from their dealer, IATC, located in Al Sadd.
“Honda is growing rapidly due to our fantastic range of cars that offer unbeatable quality and value for money and Domasco has responded to this surge in demand with a second showroom to make it even more convenient for customers,” Roffey said.
Among all the GCC countries, Domasco has in Qatar the biggest market share for Honda automobiles, the official claimed.
“We have great faith in Honda and the Qatar market and the next few years will be exciting times,” he asserted.
Roffey also announced details of Domasco’s Ramadan campaign. The purchase of every new Honda vehicle comes with a gift of an iPad Mini and free service up to 20,000km. Domasco’s commercial and finance head Faisal Sharif, Salwa Road showroom manager Keith Ellams and Al Markhiya showroom manager Amr Farag were also present.
