Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has considerably upgraded its e-services to offer customers hassle-free facilities in all its domains.

Kahramaa has adopted constant improvements of its services as a strategy to win the approval of all its customers by offering them distinguished services, a statement issued by the corporation has said. Further, customers can track the status of their services requests electronically, such as following up the status of building permits or the installation of meters through the registration number.

The recently-launched e-services include issuance of location specification certificate. It specifies the building location of Kahramaa subscribers and they can use it to determine the school closest to their residences.

In addition, companies can register for tenders through the Kahramaa website, which also offers a variety of services for subscribers - such as comparing water and electricity bills and a statement of tariff for electricity consumption.

Regarding customer service, Kahramaa has introduced “the comprehensive employee project”, where clients can process all their requests at one counter.  Front desk employees were given adequate training to ease the procedures for customers.

Kahramaa service forms have been reduced to two forms only so that it becomes easy for customers to fill them. The corporation also aims to have a paper-free work environment and the e-bill system is an example of this.

The corporation has given the elderly, the disabled and women special care through the golden track service at its main subscriber service headquarters on D-Ring Road, where they are given priority in service delivery.

Complaints can also be tracked until resolved in a period of not more than two days. Kahramaa has set a plan to get all its departments the ISO 9001:2008 quality certificate and others.
