The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has handed over the Bustard Breeding Centre project at the Rowdat-al-Fars to the Ministry of Environment. The project costing QR25.44mn occupies an area of 568,073 sq metre while the built area covers about 4,340 sqm.The project comprises 12 buildings. The first building houses the general manger’s office and services such as laboratory, refrigerator room and storage rooms. The other buildings house facilities such as a registration centre, fodder store, kitchen, general stores, a cross-breeding centre, a breeding centre, staff accommodation and a power plant. Around 150 trees have been planted on the premises . All the buildings are equipped with a fire warning system.
