Lankan brush vendor Mohamed Suwais (57) drives his make-shift electric-powered tricycle at the Cinnamon Gardens diplomatic quarter in Colombo yesterday. Suwais sells his wares in the upmarket neighbourhood competing with supermarkets and departmental stores in a country emerging as a middle-income country after ending 37 years of ethnic bloodshed in 2009.
