Petroleum engineers’ forum holds technical presentation

The Qatar Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) hosted SPE distinguished lecturer Brian Schwanitz of Welltec at a programme in Doha recently.Some 60 professionals from the oil and gas industry attended a presentation entitled “Improved Recovery and Reduced Costs with Intelligent Interventions – Make your Wells Intervention Friendly.”The Qatar Section of SPE hosts monthly technical presentations which highlight topics primarily around the exploration and production phases of the oil and gas industry. The local section has a membership of more than 600 from the major companies through to the service providers.  The section supports two local student chapters and an active Young Professional membership which targets professionals under the age of 35.
