Division E (Qatar) Toastmasters elected Manzoor Moideen as the new governor for 2012-2013 at Bahrain recently.Assistant division governors include Saquib Raza Khan (education and training) and N Raghavan (marketing). The other appointed executive committee members include Ameen Pasha (PRO), Layal Baaklini (secretary), and Nisar Ahmed Rana (treasurer). Sampath Sowrirajan will chair the Falcon Awards committee. Rajeshwar Sundaresan is the speakers’ bureau chief and Hamad al-Nesf the Arabic Club co-ordinator. Apart from the Division, the 36 clubs and eight areas formed their new executive officers for the term July 2012 to June 2013. About 200 members attended the first club officers training. Division secretary Layal Baaklini was the MC. Moideen opened the session by thanking the outgoing executive committee headed by the current Division governor Krishna Kumar for their outstanding contribution during the year 2011-12.The first Division Council meeting was conducted prior to the training. The yearly plan was presented. All the newly elected area governors: Gil Bangalan, Najeeb Abdul Jaleel, Naseemuddin, Shyam Sundar, Sheik Iqbal, Ashraf Siddique, Joseph Stanley and Sarat Koduru also presented their plans for their respective areas.
